History of Harry Potter

The History of Harry Potter began with J.K. Rowling's incredible imagination and determination. The story centers around the adolescent, orphaned wizard Harry Potter and his fellow young wizard friends Hermione Granger and Ron Weasley. The young wizards attend the Hogwart's School of Witchcraft and Wizardry in this series that spans seven novels of the trio harry-potterfighting the evil Lord Voldemort who killed Harry's parents and whose main goal is to stamp down those are not witches or wizards; those being muggles.

While the books have been ravenously consumed, relished and are still cherished by legions of fans around the world, the History of Harry Potter is too large for print alone. Films have been made to bring Rowling's creative vision to vivid detail on the big screen were fans have religiously flocked to see the beloved words played out on screen by actors who have brought characters to life.

The History of Harry Potter started with Rowling in 1990 who came up with the idea of while on a crowded train to London. She was so inspired by her vision of the small, black haired wizard that she couldn't stop writing the story once the idea entered her mind. Though Rowling officially finished the last book in January of 2007, she claims that she originally wrote the last chapter of the final novel in 1990 but made changes to the book in 2007.

The enormous popularity of the series caused the New York Times to create a children's bestseller list.
